How to find a rent-a-car company in Bulgaria
Hiring a car in Bulgaria. Whilst travelling within Bulgaria, the most convenient way to travel is by car. There are many car hire companies offering great value or low cost car rental services. Most rent-a-car companies have offices situated at airports or near major bus and train stations. Well known car hire companies are located in Sofia and all major cities such as Plovdiv, Varna, Bourgas, Rouse, etc. There are also many independent car rentals in the resort towns of Bansko, Pamporovo, Sunny Beach, Albena, Golden Sands…
Prices range from 15 – 260 EUR a day, depending on the car class (size, type, model) and the car rental period. Be aware that the lowest rental deals advertised are usually for a booking of two or more weeks. An offer of 20 EUR per day may be 50% more expensive if you hire per 24 hours. The longer you rent for, the cheaper the price will be. There are many online quote and comparison sites to help you find the best deal.
All rental cars include free delivery (within city perimeters), free mileage, full insurance and some may offer the possibility of travel abroad. It may be cheaper to hire a car on the coast during the winter, as you may be able to take advantage of discounts offered outside of peak season.
