West Park

West Park is the largest park on the territory of Sofia, covering an are of 4.17km². It rests between the Zapaden Park, Lyulin, Zaharna fabrika and Krasna polyana districts.

The West Park is a great place for rest and excersice. It has large rockeries that look like they have been taken from a fairytale, beautiful gazebos, deckchairs scattered along thegrassy open spaces, playgrounds and splendid shade. Something that visitors should have in mind is that there are no lightsin the park, making night strolls unpleasant. This is closer to the end of the park near Zaharna fabrika district. On the other end of the park, which is near Lyulin 5 district, one feels as in a deep forest – the Suhodolska river flows beside you and there’s barely any noise from the near by traffic.
