Mountaineering in Borovets

Borovets is situated in the heart of Rila Mountains, the highest mountain in the Balkans and the sixth in Europe. Its highest peak is Mussala, being at 2925 m. Once in Borovets you can enjoy beautiful one day trekking to the peak, passing near the beautiful Mussalenski lakes and the impressive Ledeno Lake.
